<br /> • SECTION 7. The following language is hereby deleted and added to Section 78-443(5) of the

<br /> Sec. 78-443. -Accessory uses. Within any RR-1B-1 one-family rural residential district, the
<br /> following uses shall be permitted accessory uses:
<br /> (5) Keeping of farm animals for noncommercial purposes and for the use of the
<br /> occupants of premises, provided that:

<br /> of horses, there must be at least one acre for the dwelling and two acres of

<br /> one additional acre of open pasture for each additional horse. Calculations of
<br /> minimum pasture acreage shall not include any land defined as a wetland or

<br /> dwelling and one acre for each animal unit. Calculations of minimum acreage

<br /> c. Any building or structure associated with the animals is located more than 150
<br /> feet from the nearest adjacent residence and at least 75 feet from the nearest
<br /> lot line.
<br /> d. The use is operated in compliance with Chapter 62. Animals.
<br /> SECTION 8. The following language is hereby deleted and added to the preamble paragraph of
<br /> Section 78-566 of the Orono City Code:
<br /> Sec. 78-566. -Accessory Uses.
<br /> Within any RS seasonal recreational district, no accessory structure or use of land shall
<br /> be permitted unless a permitted or conditional use is first established on such land, except
<br /> as allowed in Section�5-5�4�} 78-564 3 . Once a permitted or conditional use exists on
<br /> any lot or parcel, no accessory structure or use of land shall be permitted except for one
<br /> or more of the following uses:

<br /> SECTION 9. The definitions of Animal Unit and Pasture contained within Section 78-1 of the
<br /> Orono City Code are hereby revised by deleting and adding language as follows:
<br /> Sec. 78-1. - Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter,
<br /> shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly
<br /> indicates a different meaning. Unless specifically defined in this section, the words and
<br /> phrases used in this chapter shall have the meanings given to them in Chapter 82.
