ORDINANCE NO. 89 , THIRD SERIES CITY OF ORONO HENNEPIN COUNTY,MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORONO CITY CODE REGARDING SCHOOL USES WITHIN RR-lA,RR-1B,AND RR-1B-1 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORONO, MINNESOTA ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The following language has been deleted and added to Section 78-393 (Conditional Uses) of the Orono City Code: Sec. 78-393. Conditional uses. Within any RR-lA one-family rural residential district,no structure or land shall be used for the following uses without a conditional use permit. (10) Schools, davcare centers,uses accessory to a high school a. Pre-kinder arten primary and secondarv public schools and private schools with a curriculum similar to a pre-kinder arten primarv or secondary school Schools mav include before and after school care for students. � b. Davcare centers,nursery schools and similar programs that are not associated with a public or private school and serve pre-kinder�arten children c. Indoor ice arenas accessorv to a high school provided the arena including accessory uses,is: 1. Located on the same tax parcel as the high school to which it is accessory and is owned by the local school district; 2. Not separated from the high school building bv a public road• 3. Operated by the school district or bv a nonnrofit organization• and 4. All structures are located at least 50 feet from an�djacent prone zoned for residential use. ` f-�A} 11 Stock farms,provided that: a. Excluding wetlands and wetland buffers as defined in sections 78-1602 and 78- 1605,there are a minimum of 10 acres of land devoted to the keeping of animals and the animal density is_ no more than two animal units an acre on the land devoted to keeping the animals. b. No dwellings are permitted except one for the property owner or the operator of the farm.
