/ 4 <br /> ♦ <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 49, THIRD SERIES <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br /> HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 86,ARTICLE II,DIVISION I OF THE <br /> ORONO,MINNESOTA CITY CODE CONCERNING BUILDING PERMIT SURVEYS <br /> The City Council of the City of Orono ordains: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 86-68 of the Orono, Minnesota City Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> Sec. 86-68. Permit Application; information required. <br /> (a) The application for a construction permit shall include such information as may <br /> be required by the city, which may vary between types of�t�gse�e�e�s construction <br /> rp ojects. <br /> (b) Survevs required: <br /> (11 Initial Survev. Anv buildin or general permit application for construction <br /> of a new structure or expansion of an existin� structure shall be <br /> accompanied by a certificate of surve�prepared bv a Minnesota <br /> Re�istered Land Surveyor unless the buildin�official determines the <br /> construction project is exemnt from this section. The certificate of surveY <br /> shall conform to the standards on file in the office of the building official <br /> �2) Foundation survev. A foundation survey shall be submitted to the citv for <br /> review and approval, unless exempted bv the building official upon <br /> comnletion of the foundation work for all buildings and all additions to <br /> buildin�s. The foundation survey�prepared bv a Minnesota Re 'sti� ered <br /> Land Surveyor, shall certify the lot dimensions• front side rear <br /> lakeshore, and wetland setbacks; and foundation elevation. A foundation <br /> survev must be submitted before proceeding with framing or further <br /> construction. In lieu of a survev a letter prepared bv a Minnesota <br /> Registered Land Surveyor containing the same information as a <br /> foundation surve�mav be submitted. <br /> (3) As-built survey. An as-built survev prepared bv a Minnesota Re ist�red <br /> Land Survevor, shall be submitted to the citv for review and approval <br /> upon the completion of all buildin�s and all additions to buildin�s unless <br /> exemnted by the building official. The as-built survey shall certifv the <br /> final topo�raphv of the site• verifY drainage patterns• and nrovide <br /> hardcover calculations for lots in the Shoreland Overlav District An as- <br /> built survey must be approved before the issuance of a certificate of <br /> occupancv. In the event that weather or other conditions prevent the <br /> completion of an as-built survev at the time the Certificate of Occupanc� <br /> is reauested, applicant shall provide a sufficient financial guarantee and <br /> establish an escrow agreement to ensure completion of the as-built survev <br />
