. . <br /> Wall Signs: <br /> (1) Buildings within the I-Industrial District may have signs on any facade, <br /> whether or not such facade faces the public right-of-way. The total <br /> amount of wall signage for a building shall be limited to a square footage <br /> equal to 5% of the area of the facade or facades that face the public right- <br /> of-way. However, no individual facade shall have a signage area greater <br /> than 5%of that individual facade. <br /> (2) Wall signs on south-facing building facades adjacent to the Highway <br /> 12/394 corridor shall be limited to one sign not exceeding ten (10) square <br /> feet for each business entrance along the south-facing wall. Such signs <br /> shall not be internally lit. <br /> Directional Signs: <br /> (1) Directional signage needed for traffic circulation or pedestrian movement <br /> as approved by the City shall not count in the overall square footage <br /> calculations. <br /> B. When a single principal building is devoted to four (4) or more industrial uses, a <br /> comprehensive sign plan for the entire structure shall be required. No permit shall <br /> be issued for an individual use except upon a determination that it is consistent <br /> with the approved comprehensive sign plan." <br /> SECTION 3. Article IV, Division 19, PID Planned Industrial District, Sections 78-846 <br /> through 78-853 of the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby repealed in its entirety. <br /> SECTION 4. Section 78-1066 Building Design and Construction (with regards to the <br /> Highway 12 Corridor Study Area) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 78-1066. Building Design and Construction. <br /> Except within the I-Industrial District, in addition to other restrictions of this chapter, <br /> the use, construction, alteration or enlargements to any building or structure within <br /> the district shall meet the following standards (Buildings within the I-Industrial <br /> District shall conform to building design and construction standards found in Section <br /> 78-826 of the Ordinance): <br /> (1) All exterior wall finishes on any building shall be: <br /> a. Face brick; <br /> b.Natural stone; <br /> c. Specially designed precast concrete units if the surfaces have been integrally <br /> treated with an applied decorative materials or texture; <br /> 19 <br />
