<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF ORONO ZONING CODE
<br /> SECTION 78-1577
<br /> REGARDING EXTERIOR STORAGE
<br /> The City Council of Orono ordains as follows:
<br /> SECTION 1: Municipal Zoning Code Chapter 78, Zoning Regulations, Section 78-1577
<br /> is amended by revising the preamble to read as follows:
<br /> In all R districts, it is the responsibility of the owner of anv propertv, improved or
<br /> unim�roved to maintain the outdoor areas; includin courtvards and the like, of the
<br /> propertv and adjacent ri�hts-of-wav in a manner that complies with the followinQ
<br /> requirements. All recreational vehicles, mobile homes, camping trailers,motor homes,
<br /> pickup coaches, travel trailers, special mobile equipment, and utility trailers shall meet

<br /> �er�es-Additionally all exterior storage must complv with Subdivision 6 of this
<br /> Section.
<br /> SECTION 2: Municipal Zoning Code Chapter 78, Zoning Regulations, Section 78-1577
<br /> (1) is amended by adding the following definitions:
<br /> a. Bli�ht. A deteriorated condition, somethin�that impairs or
<br /> destrovs.
<br /> b. Junk. Anv cast-off damaged, discarded,junked, obsolete, salva�e,
<br /> scrapped unusable,worn-out or wrecked object, thing or material
<br /> composed in whole or in part of asphalt,brick, carbon, cement,
<br /> plastic or other svnthetic substance, fiber, �lass,metal,paper,
<br /> plaster plaster of paris, rubber, terra cotta, wool, cotton, cloth,
<br /> canvas org,anic matter or other substance, regardless of perceived
<br /> market value or requirin�reconditioning in order to be used for its
<br /> ori inal purpose.
<br /> SECTION 3: Municipal Zoning Code Chapter 78, Zoning Regulations, Section 78-1577
<br /> (6) is hereby added to read as follows:
<br /> 78-1577 (6) Prohibited mc�terial stora�Anv violation of this section is
<br /> subject to abatement upon seven davs' written notice to the owner of
<br /> private premises on which such material is found or any conditions in
<br /> violation of this code section exist. The owner of the propertv will be
<br /> determined as shown bv the records of the office of the countv recorder.
