Gerhardson, Public Works Director Jack Brinkhaus, Public Works Supervisor March 2, 1993Subject: Bid Award - Equipment & Materials Bid 1993 c- <br />The City of Orono advertised for two successive weeks for street materials and equipment <br />rental, with bid opening at 10:00 A.M. Friday, Febmary 12, 1993. <br />The enclosed tabulation contains a complete accounting of all bids. For comparison <br />purposes I have also included a copy of the 1992 bid tabulation. <br />The accepted low bids for materials are determined by availability and location of <br />materials. Traveling distance to a supplier is considered a cost factor when determinmg a ow <br />bid. <br />When renting equipment with an operator, we are guided by the type, size of equipment, <br />and an hourly rate. It is possible to award the low bid to more than one contractor when <br />colideiLg â„¢terials and equipment.
