, r <br />PLYMOUTH PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br />3400 Plymouth Boulevard <br />Plymouth, MN 55447 <br />Ph. 550-5130 <br />CANOE RACK RENTAL INFORMATION <br />To all canoe rack rental applicants; <br />Enclosed is an application card for canoe rack assignments. <br />PLYMOUTH residents are invited to apply for a canoe rack rental <br />space at either Parkers Lake Beach or Medicine Lake's East Beach, <br />beginning Mav 7. Spaces will be available for use from May 15- <br />"SepTember 30 for a fof 5^5 per space for residents. Non <br />residents may apply beginning May 13 at a fee of $40 per space. <br />Renters must provide their own locks and must accept all <br />responsibility for vandalism or loss. For more information, call <br />550-5130. <br />All watercraft used in the State of Minnesota must be registered <br />with the State. Call 296-2316 to request an application if you <br />haven't already registered your canoe. <br />The Plymouth Park and Recreation Department will recognize only <br />the person whose signature appears on the application card as <br />being the responsible holder of said rack. At no time, may this <br />individual sub-lease or receive remuneration for the use of <br />leased rack without acquiring authorization from the Park and <br />Recreation Dept. <br />Rental to Bona Fide Canoe Owners Only <br />No permit shall b* issued to anyone except a bona fide canoe <br />owner who certifies on the card provided that the address stated <br />is his/her legal residence and that the canoe to be registered is <br />seaworthy. Suitable identification of the canoe must be stated <br />on the card, including color and manufacturer's number, if at all <br />possible. Owner must also furnish Minnesota State Watercraft <br />registration number, in additioi. to driver's license number, if <br />applicable. <br />Life Preservers <br />Each occupant must carry at least one Coast Guard <br />floatation device at all times while on board canoe. <br />approved <br />Removal of Craft at Season's End <br />All canoes must be removed from rack no later than October 15. <br />Securing of Craft <br />It is mandatory that your craft be secured by your own device to <br />the assigned rack at BOTH the front and rear. This is to prevent <br />the canoe from coming loose during high winds. If this should <br />occur, damage to other canoes would be considered the liability <br />of the rack holder.
