TAX FORFEITED LAND RELEASED <br />FOR PRIVATE SALE TO ADJACENT OWNERS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation <br />orqanized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282, the City has <br />received from Hennepin County a l:ist of lands within the City which <br />have become the property of the Stauc of Minnesota for non-payment <br />of real estate taxes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said lands for <br />compliance with local zoning ordinances, for the amount of <br />outstanding special assessments remaining unpaid to the City, <br />and/or for possible public use by the City as authorized by the <br />Statutes. In addition the Council has reviewed said lands and <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 85.021, 92.461, 282.01, Subd. 8, <br />282.018, Subd 1, or 282.018, Subd 2. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BTl IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono, pursuaic to Minnesota Statutes 282, hereby <br />approves the classificati,n of each of the following parcels of <br />land as non-conservation land, and furthermore, approves the public <br />sale of each parcel of land as listed below to adjacent property <br />owners. <br />All parcels remain subject to all applicable zoning <br />ordinance provisions, inclu'ing those regulations providing for <br />minimum lot area and minimum lot width. Substandard parcels may be <br />useable only in combination with other adjoining parcel(s). <br />Release of these lands by the City Council is subject to <br />the condition thac ail outstanding special assessments shall be <br />paid in lull to the City upon return to private ownership. Any <br />amount not recovered at the time of sale shall be subject to <br />reassessriert by the City.
