Item No.: 10 Date: February 12, 2024 <br />Presenter: Adam Edwards <br />Presenter: City Administrator / Engineer <br />Section:Consent Agenda <br /> <br /> <br />Title: Ground Lease and Sublease Extension with the Orono School District and <br />Orono Base Ball Association <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this items is to approve the third addendum to the ground lease and ground sub <br />lease with Orono School District and Orono Baseball Association. <br />2.Background: <br />In 1994 the city, school district and baseball Association entered into a lease agreement to create <br />the Lee Carlson Ball Fields. Addendum two to the lease extended the term of the lease to March <br />15th 2024. The Orono School District approached the city and requested consideration of a third <br />addendum to extend the lease to March 15, 2027. The school is currently undertaking a facilities <br />study, which should be complete by the end of this extension, to inform the future of the fields. <br />3.Cost: <br />There are no cost associated with this addendum. <br />4.Staff Recommendation: <br />I recommend approval of the addendum. <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Move to approve the Third Addendum to Ground Lease and Ground Sublease as shown at Exhibit A. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
