The city's vendor selection process involves <br />receiving quotes from vendors and selecting a vendor based on <br />cost and ability to provide quality service. The city generally <br />contacts vendors who have expressed an interest in providing <br />service, and other vendors about whom the city has received <br />positive references. Although you had expressed interest in <br />providing a monitoring service early in the construction process^ <br />through an oversight, you were not contacted to provide a quote. <br />You recontacted the city at the time quotes had been <br />received and the city had selected a vendor. At that time you <br />requested an opportunity to provide a quote. The city determined <br />that although it was very unfortunate that you were excluded from <br />the process; it would have been a greater disservice to the <br />selected vendor to reopen the vendor selection process after the <br />city had notified the vendor that he had been selected, and after <br />you had been provided with the price quoted by the selected <br />vendor. <br />The interest you have shown in providing services to the <br />city is very much appreciated. I apologize for the oversight <br />which caused you to bo excluded from the selection process. I <br />hope you will continue your interest in providing services to the <br />city if future opportunities arise.
