OROMO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JUNE 28, 1976i <br />At present, the southerly portion of the site will <br />be covered by a conservation easement and as <br />proposed will be left in its natural state* <br />Since this is presently a low lying area, it <br />would continue to serve as an area in which <br />the pollutants of the parking area runoff would <br />be deposited* It also would serve as a buffering <br />area for the building, since the underbrush <br />and the trees would be retained and would <br />lessen the visual impact of development on the <br />areas to the south* <br />Searles moved, Butler seconded, to approve the <br />amended drainage plans conditioned upon the <br />adoption of a resolution setting forth all <br />discussed items in detail and based upon the <br />applicants agreement to sign same, and subject <br />to approval of the Minnehaha Creek Watershed <br />District* Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) * <br />Ilassengale moved, Searles seconded, to approve <br />the preliminary grading and foundation permit <br />of certain area which will be graded pursuant <br />to a plan being adopted, but no grading in <br />other areas which are not sho^im on the present <br />plans being adopted* The grading and construction <br />will be allowed for the foundation at the present <br />time. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />The City Staff and Council reviev/ed the <br />application for Mr* John Pembroke, 4111 Oak <br />Street, who combined three lots into one* It <br />was noted that these three lots had one sewer <br />assessment for the three lots* Staff noted that <br />because of the availability of municipal sewer, <br />these lots could be combined into one buildable <br />lot. If the sanitary sewer had not been available, <br />these lots would be substandard and therefore <br />no development could take place thereon* Council- <br />members noted that this was one of the advantages <br />of the sanitary sewer pipe as installed for the <br />substandard lots* <br />Butler moved, Massengale seconded, to approve <br />the combination of three lots into one buildable <br />lot for John Pembroke, 4111 Oak Street.
