Application indicates <br />maximum of 3 ft. of dredging not to exceed 50 ft. in width. <br />The enclosed map of Shore Hills indicates the property owners involved. Itote: the <br />owner of Lot 19 is also included although the lot is not located on the shoreline. <br />Included in this proposal is a request to dispose of the spoils in the marsh <br />The enclosed letters seem to indicate the disposal of the spoils in the marsh as <br />an improvement of conditions in the marsh area. The proposed disposal area is <br />located less than 1,000 ft. from the shoreline. <br />PLANNING CCMIISSION MEETING - October 3, 1977 <br />Wo-ric Session Reviewed proposal. Discussed alternatives. Inqtdred if applicant ras *le to obtain My doc^tatim of <br />previously approved dred.rl :v' to distinquish maintenance dredging from initial <br />dredging. Applicant’s esentatives were unable to provide adequate documenta­ <br />tion. Commission suggested applicants research further. <br />Planning Comnission also discussed projected disposal of spoils m nearby marsh <br />area located on property of Freshwater Biological Center. Suggested applic^ts <br />submit credible reports indicating advantages of disposing of s^ils on wetl^ds <br />and marshes. Planning Comnission also suggested applicant consider alternatives <br />for disposal of spoils. Representatives indicated excessive cost for removal of <br />spoils from immediate area. The Comnission informed applicant that economic <br />factor generally is not considered as a hardship with the land. <br />Planning Commission tabled the issue until all property owners within ft. of <br />subject properties, including the Freshwater Biological Center, aro notified <br />of the proposed project.
