Sjostrom were present. <br />Tlie Zoning Administrator distributed a copy of the <br />preliminary draft of a resolution received from Bruce <br />>!alkerson earlier today. A copy has been mailed to Ron <br />I la mack of the DNR. <br />The Zoning Administrator stated that he liad talked with <br />the IM^R and tliey indicated several suggestions, llieso <br />'Suggestions v/ere presented to the Council and taey <br />recommended adopting a resolution stating tliat Orono <br />would prefer a dock or access to the lake proper rather <br />than any dredging or dockage in the channel, ^condly <br />would be dockage at tlie mouth of the channel with a <br />dock coming from the nearest point. <br />Mr. Hacking informed the Comission tliat tncy had not <br />received any notice of Council’s consideration of this <br />matter ivhicli resulted in a resolution of direction to <br />tlie Planning Commission. He said they were flying blind <br />as thev just received a copy of tlie resolution tonigat <br />and haven't had a chance to go over it thoroughly. Tney <br />liad the conception that the dock v;ould lie going directly <br />out to the lake with no dredging and liaving a ’T” on the <br />channel. He was concerned about the 30" v/ide doc . mentioned <br />in the resolution, llie ”ayor infomed him that this <br />referred to only the part that was in the channel; t!ie <br />rest would be the full 6 ft. width. Tlie .tiyor also <br />stated that tlie resolution was just a rough draft for <br />direction. <br />Mr. Sjostrom, six'alcing in belialf of the neighboring <br />property owners, stated tliat they are willing to go <br />along with the proposal of having the dock at tlie moutii <br />of the channel ratlier than up in tlie channel.
