K^nneJ operation). <br />Tliey have informed us they have intentions of improving the operation and property <br />in reneral. I think we might infomi the applicant of our restrictions on expand­ <br />ing of existing, non-confomiing land uses if we choose to approve transfer of le <br />conditional use permit. <br />We might consider requiring a public liearing to give the general public the <br />opportunity to respond. <br />PIANNING Ca-nlSSICN MIiETING - October 3, 1977 <br />Work Session. Instmeted Staff request the Fulmer’s to prepare and submit a letter <br />to the City which would include a resume of their past history as kennel operators. <br />The letter was to include a detail on the projected operation and address of former <br />kennel establishments under their supervision and problems experienced, if any. <br />Planning Commission instructed staff to schedule a public hearing for the Planning <br />Commission meeting scheduled for November 7, 1977. <br />STAFF - October 5, 1977 <br />Enclosed is a copy of a letter to the Fulmer’s requesting resume of experiences with <br />kennel operations. <br />STAFF - October 12, 1977 <br />Dr. Richard Fulmer was in to see me this a.m. in res^nse to the letter I sent him <br />recently, lie submitted the letter (copy enclosed) with a resiune as requested. <br />Ife appeared to be very conscious of the problems that have been brought City s <br />attention in the past. Recognizing these problems, he assured me they would <br />cooperate with us to eliminate the sources of these problems. Mr. Fulmer is <br />associates with the Research Department of Cargill Industries. The department dea s <br />mainly in feeds, etc. <br />The Fulmer’s and Larson’s are both somewhat pressed for time because of several <br />purchase agreements expiring shortly.
