Central
Wayzata, Minnesota 55391
^'06
Dear Jim:
Enclosed are several copies of surveys of the Carlson property located at
170 Smith Avenue in Orono. ^ir. Carlson has proposed to install a concrete
sport court (30' x 60') at one of several locations as indicated on the
surveys.
y^£t.er checking the proposed location with reference to our wetlands map, I
noted it would be in violation with our wetlands ordinance. A site inspec
tion confirmed this position.
Mr. Carlson, however, does not agree v;ith conclusions. Could you please
check the site and send me a report and soils map of the property? This
seems to be the only way to confirm the status of the soil conditions.
Thank you, Jim. Your department has been of great assistance to the City
of Orono in all situations such as these. Without your help, it would be
difficult to confirm our position.
Sincerely,
Henry F.
