REQUESTING CONVEYANCE OF TAX <br />FORFEIT LANDS FOR PUBLIC USE <br />BY THE CITY OF ORONO <br />WHEREAS; the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and <br />existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS; pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282, the City has received <br />from Hennepin County a list of lands within the City which have become the <br />property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes; and <br />WHEREAS; the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners have classified <br />said lands as non-conservation land and have authorized the sale of each such <br />parcel of land subject to review and release by the City; and <br />WHEREAS; the City Council has reviewed said lands for compliance <br />with local zoning ordinances, for the amount of outstanding special <br />assessment remaining unpaid to the City, and/or for possible public use by <br />the City as authorized by the statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 282.01, Subdivision 1, hereby <br />applies to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and to the Commissioner <br />of Revenue for conveyance of the following tax forfeited land to the City for <br />public use by the City of Orono. <br />PARCELS RETAINED FOR USE BY THE CITY <br />38 <br />P.I.D.Public Purpose <br />36 118 23 11 0002 Public Road and Utility <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a <br />regular meeting held the 22nd day of November, 1993, by a vote of - - ayes <br />and _ _ nays. <br />Edward J.
