TAX FORFEITED LAND RELEASED <br />FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and <br />existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282, the City has received <br />from Hennepin County a list of lands within the City which have become the <br />property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said lands for compliance <br />with local zoning ordinances, for the amount of outstanding special <br />assessments remaining unpaid to the City, and/or for possible public use by <br />the City as authorized by the Statutes. In addition the Council has reviewed <br />said lands and pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 85.021, 92.461, 282.01, Subd. <br />8, 282.018, Subd 1, or 282.018, Subd 2. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of <br />Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282, hereby approves the classii-ication <br />of each of the following parcels of land as non-conservation land, and <br />furthermore, approves the public .:ale of each parcel of land as listed below. <br />All parcels remain subject to all applicable zoning ordinance <br />provisions, including those regulations providing for minimum lot area and <br />minimum lor width. Substandard parcels may be useable only in comijination <br />with other adjoining parcel(s). <br />Release of these lands by the City Council is subject to the <br />condition that all outstanding special assessments shall be paid in full to <br />the City upon return to private ownership.
