A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLAT <br />OF FRENCH LAKE AT ORONO <br />FILE NO. 1780 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and existing <br />under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono has adopted subdivision <br />regulations for the orderly, economic and safe development of land within the City: and <br />W'HEREAS, the City Council has considered the application for a subdivision of <br />a plat of land owned by the City of Orono. a municipal corporation, hereinafter the City; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 25. 1993, the Orono City Council approved Resolution <br />No. 3348 approving Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 5 that would realign the Metropolitan <br />Urban Service Area (hereinafter "MUSA") within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, Lot 1, Block 1. French Lake at Orono, the residential lot within the <br />subdivision would now be included within the MUSA and be served from the existing <br />Metropolitan Waste Control Commission’s facility located within the property; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 4, 1993, the Metropolitan Council approved the City <br />of Orono’s application. <br />WHEREAS, Outlot A shall remain as an open space area to continue to be owned <br />by the City consisting of a private driveway and tuture site for development ot a park. <br />WHEREAS, the subdivision has been found to meet all standards of the RR-IB <br />Rural Residential Zoning District and Shoreland Regulations, finding that the residential lot is <br />of a size and configuration that will allow its use as a single family residence to be fully <br />developed without the need of any variances; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has completed all requirements of the platting regulations <br />of the Municipal CtxJe. including; <br />Pace 1 of 3 <br />ci
