DATE:9-1-93 <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />SUBJECT <br />All Officers <br />Chief Sullivan <br />O'Sullivans fire lane <br />Contrary to rumor and incomplete <br />fire lane at O'Sullivans, it was designated a fire lane by council <br />resolution. Therefore, it is a valid fire lane. This memo is <br />intended to clarify our policy. <br />Our policy will be:1. No officer shall park a squad car <br />in the fire lane once it is marked <br />as described in the letter from <br />Lyle Oman to John O'Sullivan dated <br />8-31-93. <br />2. Officers shall give verbal warnings <br />to any driver who has parked in the <br />fire lane. <br />3. Tickets will be issued only in <br />response to a request from an <br />employee of O'Sullivans for an <br />unattended vehicle which was left <br />in the fire lane. <br />4. Or, officers may issue a ticket if <br />a citizen refuses to move the .ehicle <br />after they have received the verbal <br />warning and request by the officer <br />to move it. <br />iP A?
