This rule also includes the
acceptance of free meals, snacks, or beverages or partial
discounts when the discount is duty or department connected.
These two department •:>; icies seem very clear and explicit
to me. However, it recent? ,- c. me to my attention that some
officers were accepting f^** snacks or beverages at O'Sullivans
and the Spur station in Spring Park. Therefore, I felt it was
necessary to discuss the issue at the department meeting.
At the department meeting, I said several things that I want
to reiterate in this memo.
1. Unless responding to an emergency call, no officer is to
park their squad car in the fire lane at O'Sullivans or anywhere
else for that matter.
