ORONO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING HELD AUGUST 13, 1990 <br />ZONING FILE 11563-DENZEL CONTINUED <br />Mabusth also noted that in lieu of removing 1.49% of <br />hardcover, the Planning Commission recommended that fire <br />lane, which the applicants maintain and improved significantly <br />with plantings, be credited in the area calculations of the <br />property. Mabusth stated that this specific area of fire lane is <br />in excess of 2,000 s.f. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2850, granting the <br />side yard setback, average lakeshore setback and hardcover <br />variances to construct additions to the residence at 1295 Elmwood <br />Avenue. Motion, Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion passed. <br />11564 JOANN GRIMES <br />4720/4730 NORTH ARM DRIVE <br />SUBDIVISION OF A LOT LINE REARRANGEMENT <br />RESOLUTION #2851 <br />Ms. Grimes was present. <br />Bernhardson briefly explained the information pertaining to <br />this application (see Michael Gaffron's memo dated August 3, <br />1990). <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2851, approving a <br />metes and bounds subdivision of a lot line rearrangement for <br />Joann Grimes and James Hoffman at 4720 and 4730 North Arm Drive <br />West. Motion, Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion passed. <br />#1566 DR. ft MRS. THOMAS REGNIER <br />1205 ELMWOOD AVENUE <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #2852 <br />Dr. Regnier was present. <br />Bernhardson provided a brief summary of the information <br />contained in Michael Gaffron's memo dated August 7, 1990. <br />Dr. Regnier asked whei-her he could replace the existing <br />section of fence by the garage once he removes that section. <br />Gaffron replied, "You could replace what now exists with a <br />section no more than 3*j' high. There may be a sight distance <br />problem if a fence is placed where the fencing currently exists. <br />If you decide to put a fence in that location, staff could work <br />with you to see what can be done." <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />rouncilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2852, approving a <br />side street setback variance to construct additions to the <br />existing residence at 1205 Elmwood Avenue.
