Item No.: 11 Date: January 22, 2024 <br />Presenter: Adam Edwards <br />Presenter: City Administrator / Engineer <br />Section:City Administrator/Engineer <br />Report <br /> <br /> <br />Title: Orono Fire facility in Navarre (23-044) Draft Design Review <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this item is to draft plans for the Orono Fire Facility in Navarre with the City <br />Council. <br />2.Background: <br /> At the July 24th, 2023 Meeting Council directed staff engage with Oertel Architects to provide <br />architectural services for a design proposal for Orono Fire Facilities. At the August 28th meeting <br />the council approved the contract and authorized the completion of the schematic design phase of <br />the projects. At the November 28th meeting Council authorized the design team to proceed to the <br />design development and construction document phases of the design process. Since then the <br />design team has been focusing on the provision of a 2-bay building adjacent to he existing Navarre <br />Fire station. <br />3.Process: <br />The proposed Time Line is as follows. <br />A. January 30th : Solicit Bids <br />B. February 20th : Open Bids <br />C. February 26th : Award <br />D. March - April: Complete Permitting <br />E.
