C.OPERATIONS PLAN <br />1.Target Audiences <br />The District has the opportunity to focus thf? programs and services <br />it offers at the Estate Gardens at various target groups.Target <br />groups include garden clubs and other horticultural groups, school <br />groups, and senior citizen groups.By focusing on the specific <br />interests of these groups a clientele will be developed. <br />Educational and historical displays, exhibits, tours, and other <br />programs describing estate gardens, the Noeren’jerg Estate and the <br />lifestyle of the Lake Minnetonka Area will be developed. <br />Public use of the area will include general public strolling <br />through the Estate with the visitor center as the focal point at <br />which the visitor will get a general orientation and/or specific <br />information on the Estate. <br />2.Programs <br />There are many programs that could be incorporated into the t'state <br />Garden to provide for more pleasurable and educational experiences <br />for visitors of all types.Possibilities include; <br />0 Slide presentation regarding estate gardens of the past; <br />highlighting unique features of several gardens <br />0 Displays and classes for floral arranging, drawing, art, <br />etc. <br />0 History of Eddie Phelps and other formal landscape <br />architects and their work in the Lake Minnetonka area <br />0 History and pictures of the Noerenberg home and its <br />original garden and lifestyle in cooperation with existing <br />historical societies. <br />I
