Review the <br />applicant's resp<^nse. Exhibit B, if Planning Commission members <br />have additional questions, please contact my office prior to the <br />meeting so that I can assure applicant can provid. the necessary <br />information for our meeting. <br />The site plan. Exhibit G, has been submitted as requested, <br />only hardcover proposed for the site is the gazebo structure; <br />subject structure satisfies all setback standards. <br />The <br />the <br />Applicant has also submitted a copy of the LMCD application and <br />proposed dock layout. The plan provides for 38 slips. The <br />proposed number of slips satisfies the allowed watercraft <br />availability units (WAU) per 1,920 lineal feet of shoreline <br />[ 1,920' T 50' = 38 WAU's]. The LMCD will not approve a joint use <br />dock license for the Excelsior Yacht Club until the City of Orono <br />approves the CUP. Note the docks are to be installed along the <br />southern shoreline. They will not inhibit heavily trafficked <br />lane on west side of island. <br />The dock structure meets all pertinent LMCD standards - docks .lOt <br />to exceed 100 feet in length and no dock section can exceed 6 <br />feet in width. <br />The City of Mound has informed my office that as long as a <br />reasonable user level is maintained and adequate supervision <br />and controls are placed on the use of the island that the City of <br />Mound had no concern with the proposed application.
