Box 452 <br />Spring Park, MN 55384 <br />Dear Mrs. Osmundson, <br />The^ Planning Commission of the City of Orono is currently <br />reviewing the application of the Excelsior Bay Yacht Club for a <br />conditional use permit to allow a Day Use Recreation Area on <br />peering Island for a select club membership of 300. Use of the <br />island will be limited to 53 members (1 acre per 20 users) at any <br />one time. <br />The Club plans to install a joint use dock area, gazebo structure <br />(lavoratories, storeroom) and picnic area. Attendants will be on <br />the island supervising all activities during the day when open. <br />No night time activities are planned. <br />Plans of the total operation will be available at the Orono City <br />office for review by April 10, 1986. The City would appreciate <br />any comments you may have by April 15, 1986 in order to meet the <br />deadline for all materials to be included in packets for the <br />Planning Commission meriting of April 21, 1986. <br />Please contact my office if you have any questions pertaining to <br />the proposal. <br />Sincerely, <br />Jeanne A.
