PROVIDED, HOWEVER, Cha*: no such termination costs shall be <br />imposed unless and until authorized representatives of the <br />parties hereto have met and such termination costs have been <br />mutually agreed upon. In the event the parties are unable to <br />reach agreement, the matter shall be submitted to arbitration <br />Qg pj^Q\^ided in paragraph 14B of this agreement. <br />Termination of this contract by either party shall not affect <br />the obligation of either party to perform the contract prior <br />to the time that such termination becomes effective. <br />All Contract Cities signing this agreement agree to <br />participate in a pro rata share of all the operating costs of <br />the department's total base cost based upon a nine officer <br />department. It is understood that the formula for allocation <br />and the distribution of costs will be calculated yearly as <br />illustrated in Appendix A. <br />24. |Mo niacrimination. The City of Orono agrees that during <br />the period of this contract, it will not, within the State of <br />Minnesota, discriminate against any employee or applicant for <br />employment because of race, color, creed, sex, national <br />Qrigin, or ancestry and will include a similar provision in <br />all subcontracts entered into for the performance hereof. <br />This paragraph is inserted in the contract to comply with the <br />provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 181.59. <br />Page 16 <br />L.
