Regulations promulgated by the Minnesota Department of Natural <br />Resources, adopted and incorporated herein by reference, shall <br />be subject of the penalties and punishment hereinafter <br />provided. <br />Section 4. SURFACE ZONING OF LONG LAKE BY RESTRICTING SPEEDS <br />during CERTAIN HOURS. <br />(a)During the hours of 8:00 a.m., and sunset on each <br />and every day of the week, motorboats shall bn <br />subject to no speed limit and may be operated at <br />unrestricted speeds within the safety framework of <br />Section 2 of this ordinance. <br />(b)During the hours of sunset and 8:00 a.m., on each <br />and every day of the week, no motor boat shall be <br />operated at an excess of fifteen (15) miles per <br />hour. <br />Section 5. GENERAL OPERATION. <br />In addition to the requirements of other laws relating to <br />watercraft, it is unlawful to operate or to permit the <br />operation of a personal watercraft in a manner that <br />unreasonably or unnecessarily endangers life, limb, or <br />property, includina weaving through congested watercraft <br />traffic, jumping the wake of another watercraft within ICO feet <br />of the other'watercraft, or in any other manner that is not <br />reasonable and prudent. <br />Section 6. ENFORCEMENT. <br />The enforcement of this ordinance shall be the primary <br />responsibility of the peace officers of the Orono Police <br />Department or the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department. Other <br />licensed peace officers including Conservation Officers of ti.e <br />Department of Natural Resources of the State of Minnesota are <br />also authorized to enforce this ordinance. <br />Section 7. <br />All authorized Resource Management, cjnergency and ^ <br />Enforcement Personnel, while acting in the performance o,. t* e r <br />assigned duties are exempt from the foregoing restrictions. <br />Section 0. <br />It shall be the responsibility of the cities of <br />and Orono to provide for adequate notification of the pubic. <br />2.
