Memo - Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 5
August 9, 19^3
Page 3
development of a property adjacent to existing sewer lines to develop with sewer at a 2 acre
density, the integrity of the City’s planning philosophy remains intact and in fact enhanced.
Low density development will be allowed adjacent to a Natural Environment lake. The lake will
be protected by hardcover standards, setback requirements, and controls on land and vegetation
alterations. No pressure to develop this property at a higher than allowed density will be created
based on the requirements of the purchase agreement. The proposed MUSA amendment to
allow connection to sewer appears to not be in conflict with the goals and principals of the
Comprehensive Plan.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that Planning Commission forward a recommendation to Council for
approval of the proposed MUSA boundary amendment.
L
