The Special Event License <br />is granted subject to the following stipulations: <br />i. Permit requirements of the Sheriff's Water <br />Patrol, the City of Orono, and the DNR <br />Fisheries must be met. <br />Use of starting guns or bull horns is <br />permitted. <br />not <br />3. Participants must be notified iji the tournament <br />rules that: <br />a. prior to launching in Lake Minnetonka, <br />watercraft that have been in waters known to <br />be infested with zebra mussel, which <br />includes the Mississippi, St. Croix, and St. <br />Louis Rivers, and St. Louis Bay of Lake <br />Superior must have been thoroughly dried or <br />washed-down with hot water at least 140 <br />degrees, inside and out. <br />b. when leaving Lake Minnetonka, all lake <br />weeds must be cleaned from watercraft, <br />including wet wells and internal areas, <br />bait/tackle containers, and external areas <br />including trailers. <br />4. Participants must be notified in the tournament <br />rules that they are required to comply with <br />applicable LMCD boating ordinances, copy <br />enclosed. Of particular importance are <br />regulations limiting watercraft speed to 40 <br />mph, with no wake speeds within 150!. ^ lake <br />shore-including all channels, and limiting <br />noise to 82 dbA. <br />5. Ease*off must be staggered with boats leaving <br />at a 1 minimum of ten siicond intervals.
