DRAFT <br />MINUTES OF THE PARK COMMISSION MEETING OF JULY 6, 1993 <br />(#3) SUBDIVISION REVIEW SUESS <br />Gerhardson reviewed the location of the 20+ acre parcel to be(jernarcson r ev i — - . . . . <br />divided into 8 lots. He suggested they consider tne acquisition o. <br />a trail easement along Watertown Road. He added they will only ge^ <br />dedication fo- the portion of the property not involved in tne <br />previous subdivision. <br />.Chair Flint 'noted the right-of-way along Watertown Road is 66’ <br />wide. <br />Qsrnaroson concurred ar.a dccea tnere is s '.O' uiility easement <br />outsice tna: rignt-of-way wnicn currently has pcwer poles on i. on <br />tne north side of the road. <br />Wilson stated she is not convinced a trail would ever be needed <br />along the road and felt a wide shoulder would be adequate. <br />Chair Flint felt that Watertown Road could become a major <br />thoroughfare in the future. <br />Cernardson noted a trail is not cesicratec m the park plan for <br />along Watertown Road. <br />It was moved by Howells, seconded by Wilson, to request a park <br />dedication fee in lieu of land for the Suess subdivision. July 21. 1993 at 7:45 a.m. at wnich <br />Commission will asked the Council to define criteria wier-.ie4 <br />It is hoped by that meeting White will have had a cnance tO <^'scuss <br />the agreement with Hennepin Parks, and Hennepin Parks wi <br />submitted a landscape plan to the City. <br />(45) BALL DIAMOND UPDATE SCHOOL PROPERTY <br />Gerhardson referred to a site plan included in the packet and <br />one to two ball fields are feasible in the review <br />the Park Commission last recommended that staff continue to r <br />the site for a ball field. <br />Cha.r Flint cuestloned the status of the Ball Field Committee with <br />regard to the Maple Plain site. <br />Gerhardson said he was unaware of the progress.
