« <• <br />I <br />COUNCIL MEMBERS: <br />This sheet will esplein the various classito-cations used in <br />our crine activity report. <br />PART I OFFENSES <br />This classification is for eight t^T^es of serous crime. They <br />consist of Criminal Homicide, Forcible Rape, Robbery, Aggravated <br />Assault, Burglary, Larceny-Theft (felonies). Motor Vehicle Theft, <br />and Arson. <br />PART II OFFENSES <br />This classification covers all other less serious crimes. Some <br />e^'amples are misdemeanor assaults, forc-'y, fraud, ei^ezzlement, <br />Buy, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Property, Vandalism—Criminal <br />Damage to Property, Weapons, Prostitution, Other Sex Offenses, <br />Narcotic Drug Laws, Crimes Acainst Family and Children, Driving <br />Under the Influt.nce, Liquor Laws, Disorderly Conduct, etc. . . <br />TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS <br />This classification includes all violations of road and <br />cjifiving laws (except DWI which is a Part II incident), parking <br />violations, and other violations of Traffic and Motor Vehicle laws. <br />(This category would reflect speeding tickets issued.) <br />PART III INCIDENTS - LOST AND FOUND <br />This classification includes reports of all lost, found, or <br />cibandoned, persons, property, and animals. <br />PART IV INCIDENTS - CASUALTIES <br />This classification includes reports of all types of accidents <br />including motor vehicle accidents, boating accidents, public and <br />house accidents, and firearm accidents. It also includes animal <br />bites, fires, suicides, sick care for, and mental cases handled. <br />PART V MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS <br />This category includes any other citizen complaints not <br />otherwise classified. This would include dog at large, or dog <br />barking complaints as well as reports of suspicious activity. <br />It also includes all miscellaneous officers reports as well as <br />certain services performed such as warrants served, driver license <br />pickups, money escorts, funeral escorts, etc.
