Tlie proposal <br />is to construct a timber retaining wall at the top of a 3:1 (horizontal to vertical) slope. <br />Tile previously constructed embankment was constructed at a 1:1 or 1.5:1 slope and has <br />sub.sequently failed. We feel that the proposed 3:1 slopes and 4 to 6 foot wall is feasible <br />but more detailed plans will be needed. The wall will need geogrid ties or another <br />approved support system. <br />W'e do not recommend timber retaining walls ns a permanent solution.
