MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JUNE 8, 1987 <br />#1020 SUBURBAN HENNEPIN PARKS* <br />2865 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />It was moved by CounciImember Sime, seconded by <br />CounciImember Peterson, to accept the information <br />regarding the June 9, 1986 & August 25, 1986 approval of <br />the Noerenberg Park Master Plan and that a resolution <br />of approval will be drafted and presented for formal <br />adoption by Council at the June 22,1987 meeting. Motion, <br />Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />11051056 OLAI HANSON <br />RAILROAD AVENUE <br />VARIANCE <br />REQUEST FOR RECONSIDERATION OF TABLING <br />City Administrator Beinhardson explained that on 9/8/86 <br />Council tabled the application for a side setback <br />variance to construct a detached double garage until <br />applicant and neighbor (Mr. & Mrs. Francis Golden) could <br />resolve a lot line dispute. At this time, applicant's <br />attorney requests City Council to reconsider tabling <br />action and give applicant direction whether the variance <br />would be granted under the most restrictive possible lot <br />line outcome because if variance would ultimately be <br />denied regardless, they might not pursue litigation with <br />neighbor to resolve lot line. City Administrator <br />Bernhardson noted that since the application was tabled, <br />Mr. Francis Golden has passed away and Mrs. Golden is <br />not in good health but still opposes the variances and <br />contests the lot line. The neighbor was not able to be <br />in attendance as she had received notice on Saturday, <br />June 6, and because of ill health was unable to attend <br />or obtain a representative on short notice. <br />Applicants attorney, Debra Page, was present and <br />reiterated City Administrator's Bernhardson's <br />statement. <br />Mayor Grabek stated he had no objection to Planning <br />Commission reconsidering the application under these <br />circumstances. He encouraged resolving this matter <br />without causing any fuiihrr hardship to the Hanson & <br />Golden families, and p*. d that staff and Council <br />would do their utmost in helping this matter along. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by CounciImember <br />Goetten, to refer this application back to the Planning <br />Commission for re-consideration.
