The property owners had
discussed a revision of the lot line soon after construction, but only
recently decided to finally make application.
The revised lot line will make a much more efficient use of the
properties and will coincide with the natural and man-made features of the
properties as they now exist. Note that:
Johnson's driveway currently is on Feig's property.
The existing east-west line leaves Feig only a 30' back yard (this was
treated as a corner lot when the house was built). The proposed line
gives Feig a larger back yard that coincides with his existing lawn
maintenance area.
The rearrangement provides for a much better site for future alternate
drainfield in an area that was tested originally but never used, and
keeps the required 10' setback from Feig's existing drainfield.
Johnson's drainfield and alternate site will not be affected.
The rearrangement is an equal area trade, hence each lot will keep the
same square footage. (Note that Feig's lot was approved in 1981 at
just under 2 acres in exchange for a 25' roadway dedication along the
north and west boundaries. See plat. Exhibit D.
m
