Regarding the intent of the RS District and Comprehensive <br />Plan, Planning Commission was against "year round" use and <br />recommended seasonal summer use (May thru September) yes_ _, <br />?no <br />2. Regarding final plan for development. Planning Commission <br />recommended against the clustering or motel type construction and <br />opted for single cabin or tenting, yes ___, no___? <br />B.Issues to be addressed: <br />1. How many structural (1 unit per acre) or tenting (2 units per <br />acre) units are acceptable/feasible for the 57 acre camp site. <br />Remember the other improvements proposed for the site by the <br />Board: picnic areas, hilcing trails, outdoor play recreation <br />areas, road systems, increased septic area (principal and <br />alternate). The camp is to also serve as a day-use recreation <br />area. How much area should be set aside for these types of <br />improvements noted above? <br />a) Day use recreation area per RS District requires a <br />minimum of 5 acres in area. <br />b) Is there a need to establish an area request for outdoor <br />improvements (volleyball- baseball, trails, etc.)? <br />c) Septic area needs? Applicant should be aware of septic <br />needs for proposed uses, review Exhibit K. <br />Based on area needs established above for specific uses or <br />improvements, applicants final development plans for structural or tenting <br />units must relate to RS density standards (1 structure unit requires 1 <br />acre, 2 tenting units require 1 acre) per available area (exclusive of <br />septic area needs, day use recreation area of 5 acres + area determined by <br />City needed to support other recreational resources). <br />2.Emergency Preparedness/Life Safety <br />a) Need for full time medical professional on island during <br />operation? Yes___, no___. <br />b) Helicopter pad designation - medical evacuation <br />purposes? Yes___,no <br />c) Shelter area in case of tornado or severe storms? <br />Yes , no___. <br />d) Year round security system (1. caretaker; or 2. <br />electronic system)? Yes___, no___. <br />3.
