Thereafter, <br />representative samples of the discharge shall be taken on a <br />monthly basis and analyzed for the following parameters: <br />Dichlorodiflourcmethane, Methylene Chloride, 1,l-Dichloroethy« <br />lene, i,i-Dichloroethane, Trans~l,2~Dicnloroethylene,1,1,1-— <br />Trichloroethane, and iyl,2-Trichloroethylen^~^ <br />Analytical and sapling methods snail meet EPA protocol (Code <br />of Federal Regulations Part 136). <br />The discharge shall be regulated so no single toxic organic in <br />the discharge is present in a concentration greater than 5 mg/1 <br />and no combination of toxic organics shall exceed a concentration <br />of 15 mg/1. These limits are subject to review. If the limits <br />are exceeded by more than 10%, or by 0-10% on two successive <br />reportings, the discharge shall cease until such a time when <br />concentrations can be made acceptable. <br />Reports shall be prepared and submitted to tne MWCC on a <br />quarterly basis. Report sheets are Included with this letter <br />and shall be filled out thoroughly. Laboratory data sheets <br />shall be submitted along with the report sheets. <br />The MWCC shall be notified 40 hours in advance of discharge <br />commencement. Notification must also be made if substantial <br />changes to the proposed plan occur, or if the system is tem­ <br />porarily or permanently shut down during the approval period <br />This discharge is subject to all applicable provisions of <br />MWCC Waste Discharge Rules (5900.1600 - 5900.7500) and the MWCC <br />Strength Charge System. <br />If this discharge continues after the one year approval period, <br />it will be necessary to determine the feasibility of rerouting <br />the discharge to the storm sewer or surface waters via a NPDES <br />Permit. If the sanitary sewer is the only feasible alternative, <br />an extension must be applied for and granted prior to the <br />expiration date. <br />This discharge approval is not exclusive. The approval does <br />not release you from conditions of the Minnesota Pollution <br />Control Agency, Minnesota Department of <br />Department of Natural Resources, and the City of Long <br />The MWCC reserves the right to Inspect the pumpout/disposal of con­ <br />taminated groundwater at any time, and to revoke this approval due <br />to adverse MDS effects or non-compliance with approval conditions. <br />m.
