Since Mr. Rhode had made all previoM ^)pliMdons,
none of the property owners were aware of the three-slip limit. Their application initially
indicated four slips, but the correspondence between Mr. Lindahl and staff has established that
they are modifying their application to three slips per previous licenses.
Note that the proposed dock layout is simUar but not identical to the previ^ layout.
Since Orono does not s*wifically regulate slip sizes or dock lengths, and smee this proposal
appears to meet LMCD s setback and maximum length requirements (at a level of three boats
I am advised by LMCD that they don’t require a license), the layout appears acceptable.
There have been no complaints regarding this joint use dock,
This application was accepted after the due date without penalty fee because the City had
initially sent the application form to Mr. Rhode, and we had to later resend it to Mr. Lindahl.
Staff Ree On' H endatii
Staff recommends approval of a 1993 Joint Use Dock License to the owners of property
located at 3155 North Shore Drive, 3185 North Shore Drive, and 1406 Bohn’s Point Road, per
the attached resolution.
MOTION:Ayes,Nays.
