Box 66
Crystal Bay, MN 55323
Doif Planning Commission Membars:
w. .r« -riling to oppose propoMi
Conitruclioo Inc. which owns the new
17«* North Fersi Rood. It Is our undersUndlng that
cells for a six-foot high, solkl. wood fence over three hundrwl feet
long botwoan tha new house and County Road 6.
Wa are tha owners of tha property next to the
lived at 1729 North Farm Road for over four years. Wa oppose the
proposal for the fence for the following reasons:
It is not in keeping with the Orono community ^
barriers which limit tha feeling of op«i spaces and detract from
the natural beauty of tha area.
Tha fence would be just across the r^d from *°*f^,*[^*J
a beautiful, natural preserve of virgin forest and would tend
to destroy Its natural setting.
3. The fence would tend to shut out our
us from the natural view and openness of Vfoisfeld woods.
i|. The fence would create the appearance of a low
ment for the North Farm Road area and would set a dangerous
precedent for future residential development in Orono.
As alternatives to the proposed fence, we would favor Arming the
area next to County Road 6 or putting In a row of trws and bushes,
possibly with a split rail fence. These solutions are In keeping with
1.
2.
