CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7431 <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING CANINE OFFICER XERXES <br />FOR HIS 6 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE <br />TO THE CITY AS A POLICE OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, Canine Xerxes was appointed to the position of Community Service Dog on <br />February 12, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS,his years of service as Police Canine, has been characterized by his dedication <br />to providing the highest quality service to the city and its citizens; <br />WHEREAS, Canine Xerxes has provided service to the community and has touched and <br />impacted so many people in and around our community and; <br />WHEREAS,Canine Xerxes is retiring from his position as Police Canine effective <br />December 31, 2023. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does hereby <br />recognize and commend Canine Xerxes for his compassion, excitement and dedicated service to <br />the community as a Police Canine. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does hereby extend its best <br />wishes to Canine Xerxes. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this 11th day <br />of December, 2023. <br />ATTEST: <br />_________________________________________________ <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />36
