Memo - Section 10.41 <br />May 31, 1994 <br />Page 6 <br />The City experienced mixed success with landscaping upgrades by marinas using this <br />code section in the past. Planning Commission recognizes that marinas have had linle incentive <br />to upgrade their landscaping, and has indicated that incentives should be given further <br />consideration. Tying CUP approval to landscaping compliance may act as an incentive in some <br />cases. <br />• Subdivision 18 <br />As noted in the Subdivision 15 comments, LMCD codes have been amended many times <br />since the 1970 and 1971 ordinances referred to the B-2 Code. This section is intended to <br />update the reference to the LMCD codes. <br />• Subdivision 19 <br />This is a minor revision to omit references to the B-1 through B-5 zoning districts, and <br />replaces that reference with Section 10.41, the B-2 district, which is the only commerciM zone <br />dealing with marinas. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Planning Commission is requested to review the draft amendment, except public comments at <br />the June ’ 6ih public hearing, and make a recommendation to Council regarding adoption of the <br />proposed amendment.
