Municipal Zoning Code Section 3.20, Subd. 6, <br />Paragraph G is hereby deleted in its entirety. <br />Section 2. Municipal Zoning Code Section 3.20 is hereby <br />amended to add the following language as Subdivision 7, and to <br />renumber current Subdivisions 7 through 9. <br />Subd. 7. Prohibited Discharges of Groimdwater/ <br />Stormwater into the Sanitary Semrer System. <br />A. Prohibited Connections. No person shall <br />discharge or cause to be discharged, directly or <br />indirectly, any stormwater, surface water, groundwater, <br />roof runoff, subsurface drainage, or cooling water to any <br />sanitary sewer. Any person having a roof drain, sump <br />punm, unauthorized swimming pool discharge, cistern <br />overflow pipe or surface drain connected and/or <br />discharging into the sanitary sewer shall disconnect snd <br />remove any piping or system conveying such water to the <br />sanitary sewer system by March 1, 1996. <br />B. Authority to Inspect. Every person owning <br />iimroved real estate that discharges into the City^ <br />sanitary sewer system shall allow inspection by <br />authorized City esployees or its agents of all properties <br />or structures connected to the sanitary sewer system to <br />confirm there is no sump pump or other prohibited <br />discharge into the sanitary senrer system. <br />C. Correction of Violations. Any owner of any <br />property found to be in violation of this section shall <br />make the necessary changes to comply with this ordinMM <br />by March 1, 1996 and such change shall be verified by <br />authorized City ein>loyees or its agents. Any proi^rty or <br />structure not inspected or not in compliance ^ March i, <br />1996 shall, following notification from the City, comply <br />within fourteen (14) calendar days or be subject to the <br />surcharge as provided in Paragraph F below. <br />D. Discharge. Existing buildings with sump <br />pumps and all newly constructed buildii^s with sumps <br />shall have a discharge pipe installed to tte <br />^rmanent-type plumbing such as PVC, <br />pipe.
