A
number of Commission members visited the site with Mr. Dayton and Ron Bowen of Prairie
Restorations prior to that meeting and this was helpful to the discussion.
Planning Commission reaction was generally favorable and resulted in a 4-0
recommendation for approval subject to staff developing appropriate conditions to be placed in
the conditional use permit. A number of issues were raised by staff including a concern that the
souin disposal site would potentially place fill in a wetland identified in the National Wetland
Inventory. Applicant has since revised this disposal site to eliminate such wetland
encroachment, and a plan indicating that was received on October 6.
