The residents feel that <br />veways and other conditions 30 mph is too <br />(Mn/DOT) is the only agency that can set <br />resolution requesting Mn/DOT to perfonn <br />erform a speed study on Tonkaview Lane, <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING <br />MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />TO CONDUCT A SPEED STUDY ON TONKAVIEW LANE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation existing under the laws <br />of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono owns and maintains Tonkaview Lane; and <br />WHEREAS, the residents have expressed concern about the posted speed limit <br />on Tonkaview Lane being too fast; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to determine a safe and reasonable speed limit on <br />Tonkaview Lane, a speed study must be conducted. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono Council does hereby <br />request the Minnesota Department of Transportation to conduct a speed study on Tonkaview <br />Lane and to report back to the Orono Council the results of that study and to recommend a safe <br />and reasonable speed limit. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting <br />held this 26th day of September, 1994. <br />ATTEST: <br />Dorothy M.
