Briefly, applicam’s contractor <br />started work to rqplace the deterioraied deck and railing above the existing tuck under garage <br />The building inspectors slopped the work noting that it needed a permit and that a variance was <br />required for replacement of the deck and railing portions within the 0-75’ lakeshoie setback <br />zone. <br />Planning C *. M I ! i S ‘ > I ■ Vf • 1 M ‘ I I " •ndadi <br />Planning Ccmunission reviewed this application at their September 19th meeting and <br />recommended approval on a vote of 4-0, noting the following hardships; <br />2. <br />A deck and railing have existed at this location for more than four decades. <br />The deck and railing to be replaced are located 7.3’ from the side lot line where a 10’ <br />side setback is required, and 65’ from the shoreline where a 75’ setback is normally <br />required, and located lakeward of the average lakeshore setback as defined by <br />neighboring residence structures.
