REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: Sepie&ibcr 8, 1994 <br />ITEM NO,: <br />Department Approval: <br />N mbc John Gerfaardson <br />Title Public Works Director <br />Administrator Reviewed: <br />/r-1 <br />Agenda Se^tiOHi^ <br />City At^itipisl^tj^’s <br />Item Description: Fall Cleanup Day <br />The City of Orono Public Works Department is planning a Fall Cleanup Day for Saturday, <br />October 15, 1994 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. <br />The collection will be behind the Public Works Building at 2700 Kelley Parkway. <br />The following items will not be accepted: <br />recyclable items such as newspaper, corrugated cardboard, tin, aluminum cans, <br />and plastic bottles with a neck <br />chemicals <br />brush, leaves or grass <br />truck loads <br />The following items will be accepted for a fee: <br />AppliaiKes $10.00* <br />TVs and stereos 57.00* <br />Tires $2.00* <br />Construction material $12.00/Cubic yard <br />* Prices subject to change. <br />Construction materials consist of, but are not limited to, concrete, lumber, doors, moldings, <br />boards, landscape timbers, sheetrock, tile, fences, dock sections, etc. An average pickup or <br />two-wheel trailer holds 3 cubic yards which will cost $36.00. Each load may be measured to <br />determine actual cost. The company accepting the construction material will have personnel on <br />the site to determine cost and collect the monies. <br />Orono residents only! <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />It is recommended to designate October 15, 1994 as the Fall Cleanup Day with the above <br />guidelines.
