-^04^o oN uCITY of ORONORESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. ___2963 <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A VARIANCE TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.24, SUBDIVISION 5 (B) <br />PILE #1633 <br />NHEREAS, Andrew J. McDermott, III (hereinafter "the <br />aoplicant") is the owner of the property located at 2702 Walters <br />Port Lane within the City of Orono (hereinafter 'City ) ana <br />legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, and Outlet 2, Walters Port, <br />Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a <br />variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.24, Subdivision 5 <br />(B) to permit construction of a 12'xl3' three season porch to be <br />located 8' from the rear lot line instead of the required 30 , a <br />7'x8lj' bathroom addition to be located 10' from tbe rear lot line <br />instead of the required 30', and a connecting 6 wide <br />deck/walkway connecting three season porch to north side ec o <br />be located 18' from the rear lot line instead of the required <br />30' . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />Orono, Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1633. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-IB Single Family <br />Lakeshore Residential Zoning District requiring 1 acre in <br />area for each residential lot. The property consists of <br />19,343 s.f. or .44 acres. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application <br />on April 15, 1991 and recommended approval of the proposed <br />variance based upon the following findings. <br />A) The unusual shape of the lot <br />B) The existing floor plan in relation to the proposed <br />addition requires expansion along the west or rear side <br />of structure. <br />Page 1 of 4
