CITY of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 8 8 01 <br />r <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING: PRELIMINARY <br />APPROVAL OF A CLASS m TWO LOT PLAT <br />OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />3085 WATERTOWN ROAD <br />- FILE NO. 1821 <br />l! * <br />WHEREAS, Steven P. Wirtjes and Margo M. Wirtjes, (hereinafter "subdividers") <br />on April 21,1993, filed a fonnal subdivision application with the City for approval of a two lot <br />Class in residential subdivision of property legally described as follows: <br />See Exhibit "A" ar^ched (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, after due published and mailed notice in accordance with Minnesota <br />Stanjtes 462.358 et. seq. and the City of Orono’s Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono <br />Planning Commission held public hearings on May 17 and June 21, 1993, at which time all <br />persons desiring to be heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak <br />thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, at their regular meeting held on July 12, 1993, the Orono City <br />Council considered the subdivision application of the subdividers noting the following findings <br />of fact: <br />1.The property is located within the RR-IB Rural Residential Zoning District <br />requiring a minimum of two acres of contiguous dry buildable land within each <br />newly created lot. <br />The property contains a total of approximately 5+ acres. <br />The proposed plat contains two lots each exceeding the 2 acre minimum lot area <br />requirement. <br />Access has been approved via a shared driveway at the existing curb cut that <br />currently serves the residence on proposed Lot 1. <br />Page 1 of 6
