r <br />i I <br />Lake at a speed in excess of the following limits: <br />(a) 40 miles per hour during the daytime; <br />(b) 20 miles per hour during the nighttime; <br />(c) 5 miles per hour in the following areas; <br />i) a quiet waters area esublished by this section. <br />that area within 150 feet of the shoreline. <br />iii)that area within 150 feet of an authorized bathing area or <br />swimmer, an authorized scuba diver’s warning flag, an anchored <br />raft or watercraft, or a dock or pier except that from which a <br />watercraft with a person in tow is being operated. <br />Section 3. Personal Watercraft. <br />Subd. 1. Prohibition. It is unlawful for any person to operate a personai <br />^watercraft or for the owner thereof to permit the operation of a personal watercraft on the Lake <br />in any way which is contrary to the provisions of this Code or the laws, rules or regulations of <br />the state. <br />Subd. 2. Personal Flotation Devices. No person shall operate or ride on a <br />personal watercraft unless wearing United States Coast Guard approved personal flotation device. <br />Subd. 3. Hours of Operation. No person shall operate a personal watercraft <br />between sunset and sunrise the following day. <br />Subd. 4. Speed. No person shall operate a personal watercraft at a speed in <br />excess of 5 miles per hour or at a speed which results in more than a minimum wake within 150 <br />feet of any shoreline, swimmer, anchored boat, person fishing, mooring, dock or other water <br />strucmre. <br />.,1 <br />4 <br />I <br />4
