n <br />V- <br />X <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 14 (Q, SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISION 2, <br />SECTION 10.25, SUBDIVISION 6 (B) AND SECTION 10.56, SUBDIVISION 16 (C) (2) <br />FILE NO. 1015 <br />WHEREAS, George AppletMum (teieinifter "the applicant") is the owner of the <br />property located at 4109 Highwood within the CiQr of Orono (hereinafter "the City") and <br />legally described as follows: <br />Lots 17 and 18, Highwood Lake Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesott <br />(hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the qiplicant has applied to the CiQr for variances to Municipel <br />Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 14 (Q to permit structural improvements that will <br />result in 2,662 s.f. or 16.6% of structural coverage where only 15% is allowed; per Section <br />10.25, Subdivision 6 (B) seeks approval of side and street setback variances for a second story <br />ddition to be located 16* ftom the street lot line where a 35* sett»ack is required and a garage <br />lition that would be located 9* from street lot line where a 35* setback is requited and where <br />a 3.5* setback eaists and located IW from the side lot line where a 10* setback is required and <br />where a 3* setback exisu; per Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 seeks approval of hardcover <br />variances within the 75*250* setback area where 3,423 s.f. or 41.5% exists and where 3,557 s.f. <br />or 43.1% is proposed and where 25% is allowed; and per Section 10.56, Subdivision 16 (Q (2) <br />seeks approval of setback variances from the defined top of the bhiff requiring a 30* set^k <br />where the garage is proposed at 20*; a cantilevered second story at 8*, grade level addition at <br />lakeside is 12 ’ and a lakeside deck at 6W. <br />III <br />1. <br />2. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City CouncU of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1915. <br />The property is located in the LR-IB Lakeshore Residential Zoning District <br />requiring one acre in area.
