% <br />MINUTES OF COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />HELD JLTVE 6, 1W4 ^ <br />%The Council mel on ihe above date with the following members present: Mayor CallaSm. and <br />Councilmembers Jabbour. Goetten. Hurr and Kelley. The following represetited staff; Ron <br />Moorse, City Administrator; Steve SulUvan, Police Chief. The meeting was caUed to order at <br />8:00 a m. <br />The City Council met with the City Administrator and the Police Chief to di^uss the <br />performance of the Police Chief and police operations issues. The Council discussed areas of <br />^tisfactory performance and areas needing improvement. Based on the »evel of ^rtoman^ <br />Mayor Callahan moved and Councilmember Kelley seconded that the Police Chiefs salary <br />adjusted to Step 4 of the Police Chief pay range, effective June 6, 1994. Ayes; Callahan. <br />Goetten and Kelley. Nays; Jabbour and Hurr. <br />The Council directed staff to provide periodic updates regarding police operations issues to <br />ensure the department is operating effectively. <br />The Council reviewed police staffing and organization needs and directed staff to develop a <br />proposal for its lecommended supervisory structure. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br />Edward J.
